FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Fond du Lac County say no one, including the children and pets inside the home, was hurt following an electrical fire Monday evening.

According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, crews responded at 6:03 p.m. after a woman called 911, reporting that the roof of her home on the N4800 block of County Highway V in the Township of Fond du Lac was on fire.

There were two children and a dog inside the home with the woman at the time of the fire, all of whom were able to evacuate safely before the arrival of first responders.

Upon arrival, Officials say they saw fire and smoke coming from the roof of the home. After entering the home, the active fire was found in the attic space created from burning insulation.
