The Karnataka High Court recently ordered the Bengaluru police not to harass the founder of electric vehicle manufacturer OLA Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, and a senior official at the company, during an ongoing investigation into the suicide of a 38-year-old OLA engineer [ Subrat Kumar Dash and ors v. State of Karnataka and anr ].
The deceased employee, K Aravind, had reportedly accused senior officials at OLA of mental harassment and financial exploitation in a suicide note.
The company’s founder, Aggarwal, and the Head of Homologation Engineering at OLA Electric, Subrat Kumar Das, have now approached the High Court, seeking to quash the first information report (FIR) registered in the matter, which accuses them of driving the
