MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WDHN) - Gov. Ivey said she is totally opposed to one of the 4 suspects from the mass shooting in Montgomery earlier this month getting released on bail.

19 - year - old Javorick Whiting was released from a Montgomery county detention facility on a $60,000 bond.

Whiting and the other 3 suspects are charged with capital murder.

On October 4th, rival gangs pulled out their guns and began a shootout in downtown Montgomery, where two people got killed and 12 others got injured.

The deceased included 43 - year - old Shalanda Williams and 17 - year - old Jeremiah Morris.

The shooting happened right after the Tuskegee University-Morehouse College rivalry football game.
