NEWPORT, N.C. (WITN) - A Pink Hill woman is facing charges after warrants say she shot at two people at a motel in Newport.

40-year-old Louise Powell was arrested by Newport police early Monday morning.

According to court warrants, on Sunday, Powell used a pistol to shoot at two people who were in a room at the Hostess House, located at 6741 Hwy 70.

Warrants say Powell had damaged the front apartment door and refrigerator inside.

Powell was charged with the following:

Two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill

Discharging a weapon into occupied property

Assault by pointing a gun

Injury to real property

Injury to personal property

Powell was taken to the Carteret County Detention Center.

Her bond was set at $150,000
