GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Today is going to be another beautiful day for the western slope with sunny skies and mid-60 degree highs. Calmer winds are expected for most of the day, though Palisade is waking up to some stronger winds at the mouth of the valley. Change may be on the way as early as tomorrow night for shower potential. Tonight, expect mostly clear conditions to continue with overnight lows reaching the upper forties. Some valleys are nearing or have fallen below freezing temperatures tonight. A freeze warning is in effect until 9 a.m. as a result. The next organized system arrives Wednesday night, lasting into Friday, bringing rain and mountain snow.
