Fall's foliage change is in full swing across southern Michigan, according to foliage color forecast map available at Explore Fall, giving Michiganders an opportunity to see the fall colors via steam train.
The forecast map predicts the Upper Peninsula has mostly reached past peak fall colors, with peak colors in areas of the Lower Peninsula.
Some of Michigan's steam train excursions include the Little River Railroad, based in Coldwater; the Steam Railroading Institute, based in Owosso; the Michigan Transit Museum, based in Mount Clemens; and Crossroad Village and Huckleberry Railroad, in Genesee County.
