The weeks-long search for missing Philadelphia woman Kada Scott culminated in the discovery of her remains at an abandoned school in Philadelphia over the weekend, officials confirmed.
Police announced on Saturday that they found a woman’s remains after receiving a detailed tip amid their investigation into Scott’s disappearance — but they also stopped short of saying that they belonged to the missing woman, who vanished on Oct. 4 after leaving her job at The Terrace assisted living facility in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Her identity has since been confirmed through DNA testing, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said during a news conference on Monday.
Scott’s cause of death was not provided , but authorities have said she likely died several days before her remains
