LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Frustrations boiled over Monday night as some JCPS parents have grown concerned over possible changes that can impact some students at Echo Trail Middle School.

The 2-year-old school is already over capacity, and district leaders say they have to mitigate it now.

District leaders admit they did not see overcrowding at Echo Trail Middle School, but with faster growth than expected and more families opting for their zone school after bus cuts, something has to change.

The proposal many parents are upset about would move prospective Echo Trail students living north of I-64 and west of the Valhalla Golf Club to Crosby Middle School.
