Trump has repeatedly called the jaw-dropping, violent Jan. 6th Capitol riots a "day of love." Once he was sworn in again, Trump proceeded to grant blanket clemency to all people, nearly 1,600, convicted of or awaiting trial or sentencing for offenses related to the Capitol attack. One of those individuals, Christopher Moynihan, was arrested last weekend for allegedly threatening to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. In a text message, Moynihan said he planned to "eliminate" Jeffries when the top Democrat spoke at the Economic Club of New York on Monday.

According to a court filing by prosecutors in the New York state criminal case, Moynihan wrote, "Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC I cannot allow this terrorist to live."
