California, McClymonds and Menlo School were among the teams to move up in this week’s Bay Area News Group Top 25 football rankings.

California, fresh off winning at home over San Ramon Valley, is up to seventh. McClymonds, coming off a rout of Fremont-Oakland, checks in at No. 8.

Menlo School, which rolled over Palo Alto last week, has climbed to ninth.

The top six teams – De La Salle, Archbishop Riordan, Pittsburg, Acalanes, Serra, Los Gatos – remained the same.

El Cerrito jumped four spots to 15th after beating Tri-County Athletic League Rock Division rival Salesian on Friday. Clayton Valley moved into the Top 20 after routing Miramonte.

Lincoln-San Jose, which lost last week to Live Oak, fell out of the rankings. The King’s Academy entered them.
