With the public’s help, Guelph police arrested a 27-year-old Port Colborne man with impaired driving.
Police said on Monday, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business near Gordon and Wellington streets after staff said a customer smelled of cannabis, and appeared disoriented and unsteady on his feet.
After the man got in his car, employees asked him not to drive, but “he was confused and appeared not to recognize them,” officers said.
Officers found the man on the scene sitting in the driver’s seat and said they could detect the odour of cannabis inside the vehicle. The man appeared disoriented and had difficulty maintaining his balance when he exited the vehicle,” officers said.
After performing poorly on a roadside sobriety test, police said, he was arrested
