The Gray Lady provides, in its own inimitable style, an in-depth overview of the brouhaha over the large photos of Whitey Bulger and Steve Flemmi a Savin Hill restaurant put up on the advice of Gordon Ramsay after he learned it was on the site of a bar owned by one of their murder victims.

And it has made clear that a current of trauma still courses through some neighborhoods, decades after Mr. Bulger terrorized the city.

Ah, yes, Mr. Bulger. Also, the Times got one of the owner's of the place to complain about neighborhood "yentas," which might be the first (and likely only) time that phrase has been uttered in connection with Savin Hill.
