CHILTON, Ala. (WIAT) -- Chilton County police are investigating a Monday night shooting that left a juvenile injured.

Authorities responded to a shots fired call at about 9:38 p.m. The caller reported that his juvenile son had been shot at a residence. When officers arrived, they began administering first aid to the victim. Emergency medical services arrived shortly after and the victim was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

The juvenile suffered multiple gunshot wounds but is in stable condition, officials said. Due to the involvement of minors, the names of those involved are not being released.

CPD will continue to investigate.
