OVIEDO, Fla. – A UCF professor was arrested last week after he chased a student riding an e-bike in Oviedo and knocked his helmet off his head, according to police.

In an arrest affidavit, police said that the incident happened the morning of Oct. 14 near the Oviedo Aquatic Center.

The student said he was riding his e-bike to school when a man — identified as Shuo Sean Pang, 41 — called out to him to slow down, according to Oviedo police.

The affidavit states that the student refused to slow down, however, and Pang reportedly followed him to Jackson Heights Middle School and eventually grabbed his arm.

The student told Pang to let him go, but Pang instead smacked the helmet off his head and struck him, police said.
