At least one federal agent was reportedly involved in a shooting in Historic South-Central Tuesday morning.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed they're on scene in the 400 block of East 20th Street, but they refused to confirm that a shooting had occurred after initially doing so.

The Los Angeles Times confirmed a shooting occurred, citing law enforcement sources.

The Times added that a federal agent suffered a hand wound, while the subject of the operation was also shot and wounded.

Neither person is believed to have sustained life-threatening wounds.

Police later added on social media that officers are "providing outer perimeter traffic control at the scene of a Federal Investigation. NO LAPD officers involved."
