Metrolink reminded customers on Tuesday that it will not be operating train service for the upcoming weekend on several heavily used lines due to planned maintenance and construction work.

"Trains will not run on the Orange County (OC), Inland Empire-Orange County (IEOC) or Ventura County (VC) lines, and alternate transportation will not be available throughout the weekend," the commuter rail service posted on its website.

The San Juan Creek Bridge replacement near San Juan Capistrano is among several weekend projects for Metrolink. "The existing track and signal infrastructure on the more-than-100-year-old railroad bridge will be cut over to the newly constructed bridge," Metrolink stated.
