Detroit — The Detroit Pistons had a remarkable 2024-25 season. They became the first team in league history to triple their win total, finishing with a 44-38 regular-season record. The Pistons qualified for the postseason for the first time in five years and they lost in a six-game, first-round series against the New York Knicks.
Outside of the abrupt ending to Malik Beasley 's time in Detroit, the Pistons had a quiet offseason. Beasley was one of three key players the Pistons lost during the summer (Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dennis Schröder), but Detroit filled their vacancies by signing a handful of veterans.
