Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched a sharp attack on the BJP, alleging that its leaders merely act as mouthpieces for the RSS. “BJP leaders like R. Ashoka and B.Y. Vijayendra have no opinions of their own. Their job is only to read out what the RSS writes for them,” he remarked.
Speaking after launching white-topping works in the Gandhinagar Assembly constituency on Tuesday, Siddaramaiah recalled an incident during a previous Assembly session. “I once asked R. Ashoka about this in the House. He admitted, saying, ‘What can we do, sir? An RSS man sits right beside us. If we don’t say what they tell us, they won’t spare us,’” Siddaramaiah said.
