Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III is schedule to return to work at practice this week and head coach Mike Tomlin said that he is ‘optimistic’ that Austin will play.
Austin has missed the last two games with the injury he suffered in Dublin. He not practice all of last week or this week while recovering from a shoulder injury against the Minnesota Vikings . Roman Wilson started in his place against the Bengals with 33 snaps, Scotty Miller played 9 snaps as well. Ke’Shawn Williams took his place as the punt returner.
Austin was sent to a local hospital and put in a sling after immediately suffering the injury. Croke Park did not have an X-ray machine locally, though those X-rays came back as negative for Austin. He said he is leaving his rehab up to the medical sta
