Two-time defending Mountain League champion Arroyo Grande controlled things most of the way in a 30-7 win at St. Joseph Friday night.

The Eagles took command in the Mountain League at 3-0. The Knights (2-1 Mountain League) took their first league loss of the year.

Still, St. Joseph remained atop the Central Coast Athletic Association (CCAA) rankings this week and Arroyo Grande remained at No. 2. The Eagles did move up to No. 19 from No. 27 in the CIF Central Section rankings. St. Joseph remained at No. 9.

Templeton and Lompoc remained at Nos. 3 and 4 in the CCAA rankings. Nipomo moved up from No. 7 to No. 5 and rounded out the top five.
