ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The Alexandria Police Department has confirmed that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Broadway Avenue on Tuesday morning near the Lee Street intersection.

The incident happened around 6:27 a.m. Police responded after reports of a vehicle hitting the pedestrian, who was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

KALB responded to the scene on Tuesday morning, and a reporter saw blood on the road.
