Though there may be several places on Earth that look like Mars , no other planet intrigues humans as much as the real thing, with Hollywood having produced a long list of movies about little green men from this distant world. To the dismay of movie buffs, various missions to the planet in recent decades have found no signs of advanced life, as the Red Planet lacks the fundamental resources that life requires, such as an oxygen-rich atmosphere and abundant water.
