The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) recently announced its launch of its “Dr. Janice Lemann Kind Kid Award,” a special recognition program designed to celebrate children who show compassion, empathy and, most importantly, kindness. This award is part of the HSSBV Humane Education Program, which focuses on educating children and all members of the community about humane education, focusing on animal welfare issues, human rights and environmental sustainability by fostering a sense of social responsibility through kind actions and solutions.
