MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Events will be held around the state of Wisconsin for National Drug Take Back Day, the Wisconsin Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

National Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25.

“Disposing of your unused and unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications should be simple,” said Attorney General Josh Kaul. “In Wisconsin, you can do so not only at an event on a Drug Back Day, but also at one of the hundreds of permanent drug disposal boxes across the state.”

National Drug Take Back Day creates a safe and easy way for the community to dispose of their unused or unwanted medications, while also providing education about the dangers of drug abuse and improper storage or disposal of medications.
