Jackson, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky city has announced a plan to deal with the large population of cats roaming in the area.
The City of Jackson announced on social media that they are partnering with Breathitt County Animal Control on a Trap-Neuter-Return program.
TNR involves humanely trapping feral or community cats, transporting them to a veterinarian clinic to be spayed or neutered, and then returning them to where they were trapped.
The program will begin on Monday, October 27.
If you do not want your cat picked up, you are asked to keep it in your home and/or put a collar on it with your contact information.
