ALBANY, New York (WWNY) - It’s Farm-to-School Month and Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Tuesday that $10 million is available to bring more New York food to schools.
Round 3 of New York’s Regional School Food Infrastructure Grant Program is underway.
It provides money to help with on-site processing and preparation of meals, increase the use of New York food products, and boost regional farmers.
The governor says the program brings farmers and schools together, and supports the agricultural industry while ensuring children have local, fresh meals.
