ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two teens have been indicted in connection with a recent shooting in Cobb County that claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl.

Attorney General Chris Carr’s office said Jonathan Camphore and Josiyah Cole, both 14, are facing multiple charges in the July 21, 2025, shooting on Padgett Road in Austell that resulted in the death of Desiyah Reed.

The shooting is alleged to have stemmed from an ongoing conflict between Cole, Camphore and other members of a Cobb County criminal street gang known as Young Stupid Reckless (YSR).

Reed was caught in the crossfire and sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Prosecutors said Cole is believed to be a member of Sex Money Murder (SMM), a national set of Bloods they said has a strong presence in Georgia.
