SUMTER, S.C. — Two Sumter men are facing multiple drug and weapons charges after authorities seized a kilo of cocaine, large quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana, firearms, and cash during a recent search of a Brand Street home.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Sumter Police Department, and FBI-Columbia Bureau executed a search warrant on October 9 at a residence on Brand Street. Inside, officers say they found approximately 8 pounds of marijuana, 1 kilogram of cocaine, 62 grams of crack cocaine, 135 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, and $5,600 in cash.

Two residents, Perry Sherrod Taft, 65, and Marquis Quintell Durant, 37, were taken into custody at the scene.
