A semi truck at a Love's Travel Stop in St. Clair County had to be towed out of a pond Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Erika Hyrnyk, public information officer for the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, said no one was in the truck when it rolled into the pond outside the gas station off Wadham's Road near Interstate 94.

The driver had reportedly exited the truck but had not put it in park before doing so, according to Hyrnyk. No one was injured during the incident.

St. Clair Fire Department Chief David Westrick said firefighters were called out to the scene around 10:30 a.m. and spent the next five hours calling in tow trucks and removing the vehicle from the pond.
