If the HBO Max price increase has got you down, there's a good chance you don't need to pay for it at all if you have AT&T Wireless. On October 21, 2025, Warner Bros. suddenly announced that, effective immediately, its HBO Max streaming service would be getting a new price hike for both its standard and premium plans.

New subscribers will immediately see the price change. Monthly subscribers will see the increase on their next bill after November 20th, and will be given time to unsubscribe. Annual subscribers will be notified of the price increase 30 days before their renewal. However, if you have AT&T Wireless, you shouldn't be paying for HBO Max anyway.
