JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) -- The 1889 Foundation has announced it has awarded the Penn Highlands Community College Foundation a $15,000 grant to support scholarships for students looking to pursue culinary arts.

The generous grant was provided through the Supporting Scholars Fund and will help those in the community who aspire to become chefs in the future gain access to the education needed, as well as the hands-on training.
