Some people know recognize Tobias Forge as the costumed lead singer of Swedish metal band, Ghost .
However, that iconic costume was once caused great distress for Forge.
In a new interview with Louder Sound’s Metal Hammer , Forge describes how, during a show at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom in 2015, he realized wearing masks had become a bit of an issue for him.
“Throughout my years in masks, I’ve developed a not comfortable claustrophobia,” Forge said to the publication. “It’s the idea of having something over your throat, being completely engulfed, completely enclosed.”
