RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Seven months after Little Wish Toys moved into its own storefront in Jackson Ward, the store said tariffs are starting to have a real impact on business.
Store owner Shan Habbas said the constantly changing tariff policies make it difficult to plan ahead.
“I can’t anticipate or prepare for things when they are changing by the week or by the day, and so we are trying to stay nimble and stay flexible,” Habbas said.
The toy store sells sensory, creative, and emotional development toys.
Some of the toys are produced in European countries like Denmark and France. Habbas said those toys are getting more expensive as everyone deals with rising tariff costs.
One toy went up ten dollars in the last few months.
