CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Forensic scientists from the State Police Forensic Laboratory testified Tuesday to the DNA analysis of samples collected in the investigation of the 2024 murder of a Harrison County man.

Harrison County Assistant Prosecutor Gina Renzelli, for Prosecutor Rachel Romano, questioned State Police forensic scientists David Miller and Nathaniel Starcher about their handling, sampling and testing of various pieces of evidence, including a white towel and a pair of men’s boxer shorts.

After Miller collected samples from the two pieces of evidence, Starcher conducted DNA testing.

Analysis of the towel turned up two DNA profiles, Starcher testified. While one of the samples was “uninterpretable” due to being too partial, the other was a match for Dallion Lewis of Clar
