Honolulu police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist on Farrington Highway in Nanakuli on Monday night.

At about 10:05 p.m., police said, a 38-year-old man on an electric motorcycle was heading westbound on Farrington when a car turning left onto Helelua Street struck him.

The unidentified motorist continued heading northbound on Helelua without stopping to render aid or provide information.

The motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway with critical injuries.

Paramedics from Honolulu Emergency Services provided him with advanced life support and took him to The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu in critical condition, where he later died. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.
