RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT)—Anthem announced it will no longer offer its standalone Medicare Part D prescription drug plan in 2026, requiring many seniors with Medicare Advantage to find new coverage.

The move comes as leading health insurers adjust their Medicare Advantage offerings, impacting numerous members during the ongoing open enrollment period.

The insurer confirmed it will discontinue the standalone Part D prescription drug plan, leaving some members surprised and frustrated at the prospect of finding a new plan.
