The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is celebrating another year of saving lives across the state.
The group’s annual “Fur Ball” gala returns next month with a “Hollywoof” theme, honoring those who make a difference for animals and featuring a very special guest with a story of survival that’s sure to steal the spotlight.
You may remember back in July, Fern the dog was found by a city worker in a garbage dumpster. She was starving, dehydrated and clinging to life.
The OAA took her in, and slowly but surely she recovered, began to walk again and eventually was released from the hospital.
Oklahoma Alliance for Animals founder Jamee Suarez and Volunteer and Fern's mom, Ashley Dwyer, joined News On 6 to talk about the Fur Ball.
