CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Dr. Warren Morgan, addressed mounting challenges the district is facing including enrollment challenges and needing to cut $150 million dollars in his State of the School address on Tuesday.
“We face a perfect storm of challenges of declining enrollment, increasing expenses, and serious funding cuts at the state and federal level. However we have the incredible responsibility and opportunity to improve the student experience and enhance outcomes for all CMSD scholars,” said Morgan.
The CMSD just earned an overall grade of 2.5 out of 5 stars in the state’s report card.
