PARK COUNTY, Mont. - A rescue mission was launched Monday night after a call was received about a stranded vehicle on the Forest Service Road to Emerald Lake in the Beartooth Mountains.
The Park County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) dispatched search and rescue teams after learning that some passengers had left the vehicle to seek help.
Guardian Flight Wyoming and a ground team were mobilized to search for the missing passengers. Carbon County Search and Rescue (SAR) from Red Lodge also joined the operation.
Carbon County SAR successfully located two additional individuals and assisted them back to their vehicle.
Shortly after, Park County Search and Rescue (PCSAR) confirmed there were no injuries among those involved.
