STORRS, Conn. — UConn football’s high-flying offense has earned much of the national attention this season, but the Huskies’ defense has improved drastically over recent weeks, as the team rides a four-game winning streak.
Much of that success can be credited to linebacker Bryun Parham, a senior from Long Beach, Calif. who transferred to UConn after one season at Washington and three seasons at San Jose State.
Parham has been electric this season, leading the team with 8.5 sacks and 61 total tackles; 32 of those were unassisted.
Last week, during UConn’s 38-23 victory at Boston College, Parham had a game-high 14 tackles; nine of them were solo. This matched his career high. Parham also added two quarterback sacks to help the Huskies win their regional rivalry.
