A Connecticut woman was killed in a head-on crash on Route 64 in Woodbury that left others injured, authorities announced.
Marvia Morrison, 34, of Waterbury, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, after another driver crossed into her lane and struck her vehicle head-on, according to Connecticut State Police.
The driver heading east on Route 64 before Old Sherman Hill Road veered into the westbound lane and hit Morrison’s car. That driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Two other westbound drivers were involved in a separate collision after the initial crash. One was taken to a hospital for minor injuries, and the other was treated at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. State police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
