After a deadly fire at a mobile home earlier month, the firefighters union in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, is calling for immediate action from the town to address staffing issues at their department.

There weren't enough firefighters at the Oct. 4 call at Chelmsford Commons mobile home park, according to International Association of Firefighters Local 1839 President Robert Albon.

Two men died in the incident. Officials said the residence didn't have a working smoke detector.

"The way we operate in Chelmsford is we have two firefighters per apparatus," Albon said. "That's a huge safety concern because firefighters are forced when they first get on scene to make these crucial decisions on what they're going to try
