TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A local company joined with the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Tuesday in a heartwarming effort to support students facing food insecurity.

Volunteers from Suburban Propane helped package and distribute essential food and supplies at “Gilbert’s Pantry,” a free resource for all current CSI students, faculty, and staff.

The initiative, weeks in the making, culminated in a successful day of community service.

“Through social media we had people donate things at our store and we brought it here today now we are helping out,” says Suburban Propane volunteer Kelly Brodeen. “Distribute to the kids and have a whole pantry stocked full of stuff in there that we’re organizing and it’s really an honor to be part of it.”
