Dozens gathered outside the Solvang Veterans Memorial Hall on Saturday afternoon for a peaceful “No Kings” rally organized by Indivisible Santa Ynez Valley, joining communities across the nation in a coordinated day of action promoting democracy and civic engagement.
Participants lined Mission Drive from noon to 2 p.m., waving American flags and holding signs with messages such as “Stop Trump, Save Democracy,” “Diversity, Equality, Inclusion Belongs in the Workplace,” and “No Kings.”
Organizers emphasized the event’s peaceful nature, encouraging participants to stay on sidewalks, respect ballot drop box zones and demonstrate “strength without anger.”
