TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Christopher Scholtes, a Marana father charged with first-degree murder after his 2-year-old daughter died in a hot car, is being presented with a second plea deal.
Scholtes initially rejected a plea deal in March. His trial is scheduled to begin on Monday.
A hearing regarding the new plea offer is set for Wednesday.

On July 9, 2024, 2-year-old Parker Scholtes was found unresponsive in a hot car. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
