CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is facing what leaders call a perfect storm of challenges — declining enrollment, rising costs and shrinking funding.

On Tuesday, CMSD CEO Dr. Warren Morgan delivered his third State of the Schools Address at the Huntington Convention Center — outlining how the district plans to turn those challenges into opportunities.

Morgan detailed the next steps in the district’s Building Brighter Futures initiative , a roadmap aimed at ensuring every CMSD student has access to strong curriculum and enriched programs at every school.
