Penn State’s Big Ten matchup with Ohio State loomed as the biggest regular-season game in the conference at the beginning of the season.
Not anymore.
After starting 3-0, the Nittany Lions lost four consecutive games heading into its second bye week, the last one a 25-24 defeat to Iowa on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
Ryan Day’s Buckeyes, the defending national champs, are ranked No. 1 in the country.
Ohio State (7-0, 4-0) is led by a stout defense that has allowed just 41 points and an offense built around dynamic wideout Jeremiah Smith.
Both programs are on a bye week.
Penn State (3-4, 0-4) and the Buckeyes meet Nov. 1 in Columbus. Kickoff is at noon and the game will be televised by FOX.
The opening point spread for the game is out on FanDuel.
