LYNDON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - The Lyndon Institute announced Tuesday that its Upward Bound program will continue for at least one more year, after funding delays across the country caused worries.
The U.S. Department of Education recently notified the school that it had received a grant award for the program.
"This funding is critically important to our students, their families, and the entire Lyndon Institute community," said Lindsay Carpenter, the director of the Institute's Upward Bound program.
Upward Bound programs are usually run by universities and other higher education institutions - the Lyndon Institute is the only high school in Vermont that operates one.
