HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The new Hastings College dormitory, they’re calling “1882″, added its final support beam, to mark a milestone in the construction process. The topping off ceremony celebrates the hard work of countless individuals.
Each signature on the beam represents a personal connection to the project forever. President of Hastings College, Rich Lloyd, was among those who signed the beam.
“This new construction ... says Hastings College is preparing for a flourishing future in the decades to come,” Lloyd said. “But to do that, you also want to recognize and honor everybody who supported the college in the past. And so we looked back to look forward and the 1882 just seemed to fit.”
The building will be the fourth dormitory on the Hastings College campus and the first built in
