BOISE, Idaho — WHAT: A major fall system is on the way for the Northwest this weekend . An upper-level area of low pressure off the Gulf of Alaska will send a series of smaller storm waves across the region.
This setup could likely tap into an atmospheric river, a plume of moisture from the Pacific, bringing widespread valley rain and possibly heavy mountain snow from late Friday, Oct. 24, through early Monday, Oct. 27.
